How to Reach 2000 an ELO Chess Rating? - Remote Chess Academy

During the last few months, we have been working very hard on a comprehensive chess course that will take set you apart from most chess players. We took it so seriously that we even decided to set the goal for you. ? The course will help you become a 1st category player and allow you to reach an ELO rating of 2000 points, or the strength of a player of that caliber. In case you don’t know, a chess rating system is used in chess to estimate the strength of a player, based on their performance versus other players. The ELO rating system is one of the rating systems named after its creator Arpad Elo, a Hungarian-American Physics professor. Why 2000 ELO? Well, this is an achievable yet ambitious goal. Only the top 5% of chess players have this rating or more. Therefore, in this comprehensive course, we will guide you to be different from the vast majority (95%) of chess players. The course will be launched on Friday, 12 November. I (GM Igor Smirnov) will be the main author of the course, but there will be a new author as well. ? Please show your excitement in the comments below! In my recent video lesson, I shared an interesting sideline in the King’s Indian Defense, which happens after the opening moves: 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 g6. You will learn an interesting sideline, 6…Bg4, which is not very known and, at the same time, very easy to learn. This way, you will have a great chance of surprising your opponents as you are driving them away from their opening preparation for the main variations of the KID. This variation also comes with a lot of tricks that you can use against your opponents, which works really well for blitz games.
